About the Artist
I have been drawing, painting and writing ever since I was in 9th grade. My dad's aunt Jo was an artist and I remember visiting her in her small apartment. Everywhere you looked there were small watercolor painting. Perhaps my early passion for painting came from her inspiration. I have always been very shy and introverted. In school my favorite class was art. I was not the best artist but I was the most prolific. Later I took drawing and painting classes at the Tacoma Community College. My teacher Mr. Don Tracy was wonderfully challenging to this young artist. I have been painting and writing for thirty years and now want to give my talent back tot he world. I am now selling Giclee prints of my paintings plus their corresponding poems. My subject matter is wide and endearing.
"Born to fly, I have always used the media of painting to get there. Born in the Pacific Northwest where the air is fresh and the color is breath taking. I present a new way to look at the world through color, line and poetry. Self-taught and always launching into new statements of old subjects, I bring you along on my journey into the heavens.
I paint with my emotions and my heart, following the creator within. My work is bold and yet gentle. Peaceful and yet strong. I paint slowly so the colors tell me the way to go. Many of my paintings paint themselves as I sit quietly and listen."
